Barry Bonds closes in on Hank Aaron's Home Run Record

It's just a matter of time before Barroid, a/k/a Barry Bonds, "breaks" Hank Aaron's all-time home run mark. I am among those who thinks that Bonds cheated by using steroids to get to this point. It's the same reason I think that Roger Maris is still the single season champion. Honestly, does anyone have any doubt that Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa both juiced?

Well, it turns out that Baseball is, with the assistance of at least some of the teams, actively hushing up those who wish to silently protest Barroid's impending record: http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2007/07/01/MNGMVQP7KF1.DTL.

One of the things that has always amazed me is the complete vow of silence adopted by MLB and the Player's Association with respect to those who are cheating. You would think that those who are clean would not want to be tainted by those who aren't, or to have to compete on a playing field that is obviously not level, but as obvious as that would seem to be, it apparently is not correct. I just don't get it.
