NCAA Tournament Title Game
University of Florida 84, Ohio State University 75. You think that Buckeyes fans will cringe everytime they see a Gators logo, given that their team has now lost to UF in both the football and basketball title games three months apart? I wouldn't blame them at all if they did. Watching last night's game was almost like watching most Super Bowls. One team was clearly better than the other, so there really wasn't very much (if any) drama during the game. You never got the sense that Ohio State "scared" Florida. The scariest thing about this Florida team? Outside of some peripheral players, the majority of the team could come back next season and try for a "three-peat". I doubt very much that they will do so, and there are those constant rumours that coach Billy Donovan is destined to take over at the University of Kentucky, but it's still something to give pause to Gators-haters, of which I am certainly one.

NCAA Tournament
I know that a lot of the games have come down to the last minute, but for whatever reason, the 2007 version of March Madness hasn't captured my attention the way it has in previous seasons. Maybe it's the fact the Cinderella was escorted out of the ball on the first weekend, but a Final Four of Florida (defending national champion and clear favourite to repeat), Georgetown (another perennial power, albeit one which has recently returned to glory), UCLA (11 national titles. 'Nuff said.) and Ohio State (which has Greg Oden, the oldest looking teenager I have ever seen) doesn't do anything for me.
The only irony to me is that this is the first time in about 20 years that I did not participate in a money Tournament Pool, so of course it would also be the first time in recent memory where I correctly picked all four Final Four participants...............
