It's kind of amusing, in a perverse sort of way, to watch the Left thrash about as it grapples with erstwhile icon Cindy Sheehan's promise/threat to run against Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi: http://commentisfree.guardian.co.uk/niall_stanage/2007/07/the_epic_narcissism_of_cindy_s.html.
If Sheehan does run, she is almost certain to be trounced by Pelosi, whose power base in San Francisco is as strong as the foundation of the Golden Gate Bridge. It would, however, be a fun race to watch!
