Richard Cohen is your stereotypical liberal Jew. In so many ways, frankly, he reminds me of my late parents. He absolutely can't stand Republicans in general and President George W. Bush in particular. While much is his column is devoted to the knee-jerk self-hate (we DESERVE to be hated! Abu Ghraib! Guantanamo!), even he can't help but note that hatred of the United States existed long before the invasions of Afghanistan or Iraq. You can tell, though. It really HURT for him to acknowledge that...............
