Only in Canada

Shane Doan is a Phoenix Coyotes player who was named captain of the Canadian team at the World Hockey Championships, which are going on right now. About 18 months ago, he was accused of making anti-French comments, which he denied. The amazing thing to me is the Canadian Parliament, which apparently doesn't have anything better to do, is now going to conduct a hearing into why Doan was selected. The leaders of the Bloc Quebecois--that's the separatist federalist party, for those of you keeping score at home--have demanded that Doan be forced to resign. What a joke..........
