Reverse Discrimination

This story caught my eye: http://www.comcast.net/news/international/australia/index.jsp?cat=AUSTRALIA&fn=/2007/05/29/675649.html. How much do you want to bet that if it was a straight bar, there would be a lawsuit protesting that the bar was being discriminatory? Worse yet, the lawsuit would undoubtedly be successful!

I was pretty impressed by that story myself, until I remembered the standard: you can't be racist or discriminatory unless you're an American white male. It's a good rule of thumb and will keep you from falling out of your chair when you read stories about rampant discrimination from those who constantly claim to be discrimination's victims.

Well said, Bookworm. The PC double standard that exists in western society is both astonishing and disheartening.
