The End of the American Era?

I don't know the writer of this piece, but he seems like your typical, self-hating type, one who pines for the days when the USSR was a "worthy" adversary of the U.S. in the Cold War, and who is now hoping that China, or Iran, or am increasingly confrontational Russia will take on that role............
