From the "But we support the troops!" Department

Gotta love the Democrats, who on one hand continue to screech that they support the troops, but on the other are contemplating a bill which would cut off funding for the Iraq War: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070514/ap_on_go_co/us_iraq. Part of me (the part that DOESN'T like the idea of politicians playing politics with soldiers' lives) is just appalled that they are even considering this. Another part of me, however, is noting cynically that this would be the surest way to guarantee their defeat in 2008.
