Does Europe Really Hate the U.S.?

At least one Washington Post writer thinks that the answer to this question is a resounding "NO!": http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/05/11/AR2007051102069.html. I don't share his sense of optimism, but the fact that anyone is even writing Op-Ed's like this is a sea change from the situation 2-4 years ago.
