Was there a full moon the other day?

All of the nutcases are coming out of the woodwork. This time it is aspiring Presidential candidate Ron Paul of Texas claiming that the U.S. Government might stage a terrorist attack of its own to draw attention away from the situation in Iraq: http://www.breitbart.tv/html/3013.html.

Who knows, maybe Paul was just testing the waters to see if Rosie O'Donnell would be willing to serve as his running mate, assuming that he gets the Republican nomination.

Can you back up your claim that there is no significant risk? In every country in history there has always been a risk of dangerous lying by those in power. Are you saying that the US is somehow immune? Did you put a magic spell on it?

I suppose you don't buy a smoke alarm for your house or buy accident insurance. To do so would be promoting conspiracy theories.

Yet, actuary data does say that auto accidents do pose a great danger.

I encourage you to repent and to stand firm against all potential dangers to our country, not just some.

Respectfully, Anonymous, your example is ridiculous. Of COURSE, I have auto insurqnce and smoke alarms. What proof do YOU have (or does Ron Paul have) that this Administration would engage in the type of conduct of which he is warning us? To offer opinions such as that which he is offering is the height of irresponsibility. I am an attorney by trade. Were he to offer these opinions in a court of law, they would be tossed out immediately, as opinions must always be based on FACTS.

Thanks for stopping by!

He doesn't need to provide you with proof that this administration would engage in such a tactic, although I could easily point to lots, and lots, and lots of lying that THIS ADMINISTRATION has done in the very recent past.

All he needs to do is point out that it is a reasonable inference to draw that because this has happened in the past (Gulf of Tonkin) it could potentially happen in the future, under similar tense circumstances.

As a 3rd year law student, I would have thought your school would have um schooled you on how to think like a real lawyer. Maybe not.
