Immigration Woes

From the "And herein lies the problem" department, we have this story: http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20070706/pl_bloomberg/atizf6kmwd6g. When people such as myself opposed the now moribund immigration reform bill, this is why. That bill would have done nothing to remedy situations such as this one. And, for the most part, I don't think that the leadership of either party gives a rat's a-- about the situation. Their only concern is either bringing in millions of new potential voters (in the case of the Democrats), or legalizing millions of cheap workers (in the case of the Republicans).

Either way, it's a joke...............

Lack of communication was exactly what led to the 9/11 attacks! I listen to Glenn Beck sometimes and he is constantly saying that our politicians don't really want to solve the immigration problem. However, I think the Conservative Republicans do care. Look at the number who voted against the bills. And the most recent bill was shot down. I wish they would pass a bill that ONLY is for the border fence. Or if they already passed such legislation 20 years ago, then start building the damn thing!
