Religion in schools

A sweeping tip of the hat to the inimitable Pam at Atlas Shrugs for this one. There is a furious debate in San Diego about the fact that Moslem students are being given a place to pray in the school: http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/20070702-9999-1n2prayer.html.

Here is my issue: I can guarantee that if Christian (or Jewish, for that matter) students had asked for the same thing, it would have been denied to them, or the ACLU would have been in court the next day seeking an injunction to prohibit it from taking place. As well, CAIR is in favour of it, which alone is enough to make me oppose it. If CAIR wants it, you KNOW that it can't be good.
