Spain

Hmmm, wasn't Spain's decision to pull its troops out of Iraq supposed to decrease the threat of terrorism against that country? Read the following article, http://www.eux.tv/article.aspx?articleId=6283. Surprise, surprise, that strategy doesn't seem to have worked all that well. The lesson I take from this is that even if the angry left in this country has its way and we pull all of our trips out of Iraq IMMEDIATELY, that won't pacify the Islamofascists. Of course, I doubt that the Democrats are listening anyway, since their position on Iraq has everything to do with political expediency and nothing to do with reality............

Oh come on. Do you really think the rhetoric of muslims regarding the conquest of Spain is any more real than their calls for the erradication of Israel? They don't really mean any of that kind of thing.

Uh yeah, Anonymous, I do, because in case you haven't noticed, radical Islam has become even MORE radical and even MORE violent in the past 15-20 years. Do I think they can "recapture" Spain? From a military standpoint, of course not. However, as the effects of the Spanish terrorist attacks of March 11, 2004 established, you CAN get a country to do what you want even without defeating its military.

One thing we in the West have never learned is to look at things in a long-term fashion, the way the Islamofascists do. We think in terms of days, weeks, months and sometimes years. They think in terms of years, decades and beyond. Their goal is not just to physically impose their will on the West, but to incrementally change the thinking over here to get us to submit voluntarily if possible.

Do I hope that I am wrong? Sure, but I doubt it. Sometimes, it is best to take your enemies at their word............

Anonymous above is a great example of the mindset of the so called "reality based community." It's as though they have to say that time and time again so that they can convince themselves.

"They don't really mean any of that kind of thing." Geeze, what planet does this guy hail from?
