Nancy Pelosi goes to Damascus

Thanks to Atlas Shrugs for linking to the Washington Post editorial on Speaker of the House Pelosi's pratfalls abroad. You can find it at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/04/AR2007040402306.html. The editorial is particularly striking given the barely-disguised antipathy held by the editorial staff at the Post towards President Bush.

The fact of the matter is that the country should have ONE voice for foreign policy. If the opposing party doesn't like it, well, go win the next election. Speaker Pelosi seems to feel as though as a result of the 2006 mid-term elections she has now been given the title of Shadow President. Worse yet, her naivete and wrong messages are causing more problems, and the picture of her, dhimmi-like, wearing an Islamic head scarf is just appalling.

P.S. More on the same subject from the Wall Street Journal: http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110009903

Excellent link to the Journal piece. As for the scarf, Pelosi is a wolf in bitch's clothing.

And now they're talking about going to Iran. Gotta love the Dems, who seem to view opposing President Bush as being a higher calling than opposing terrorist-supporting regimes such as Syria or Iran.
