From the "We never seem to learn our lessons" Department

This story needs to play out a little bit more, but MSNBC is reporting on an informal meeting between the U.S. and a representative of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18109236/site/newsweek/.

Looks like the so-called "Realists" at the State Department are carrying the day..............

Hello Oh Great Bald One,

It was and is hard for me to write on these things because all that is going on in the world chokes me so much, and I mean to express so much, that it stifles all that is in me. It is useless to argue with the enemy here and abroad. What has become of my once great country? To point out all that is awful would take too many words and solve nothing I suppose. Perhaps these blogs help somehow, some way?
The election of the democrat congress has been the realization of our worst nightmare and more. Appeasement reigns and grows. Great Britain will no longer call it The War on terror so that no-one will be offended. Our snivelling Chamberlain/Pelosi(s) meet with murdering terrorists who can give us nothing but death and they are too power driven to accept that (only to see our President lose in every way). The dopes put us ALL in danger by doing so.
My main point here is that I wish we could return t a time when we all cheered the brave exploits of our soldiers. Think of how great it would be if we had a huge, united campaign to sow the terrorists that we mean to WIN (like the self made button I wear at my job at Barnes & Noble). What other choice can there be for us? There have been a handful of soldiers who have been given the Medal of Honor during this struggle. Stories that will make you cry with pride, BUT THEY ARE NOT SPOKEN OF! In the media it may be only in passing in back pages. We need to celebrate these great Americans constantly, to keep up the moral and fight the fight back here also. We need to approach them when they pass and thank them for their service as I do with them and all past veterans. We need to be united and make the enemy fear us, but I fear it may be too late. I worry about my country...

Thanks for the long and thoughtful post, Jeff, and welcome! I hope that you visit (and post) often!

And, insofar as being the "Great Bald One", well, I am certainly bald, but "great"? I have a wife who might quibble with you on that one........ ;-)
