France

It will be Nicholas Sarkozy and Segolene Royal in the contest for the French Presidency: http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/europe/04/22/france.election/index.html. Americans and Israelis would be well advised to watch this election very, very carefully. If Sarkozy wins, they will almost certainly see an improvement in American-French relations, and Israel will also likely see a change for the better in the way it is treated by France. On the other hand, if Royal is elected, you can expect to see, at best, a continuation of the Chirac policies...........
