What passes for journalism these days

The Boston Globe has apparently given up even the pretext of being objective when it comes to reporting on Senator Hillary Clinton: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2007/10/09/many_warming_unexpectedly_to_clinton/.

The piece is aggravating on so many different levels that it is hard to discuss just one of them. Ostensibly, the article is supposed to be, well, an article. However, if you read it (and if you don't like her, you probably should do so on an empty stomach), it comes across as being a lot more like a Clinton campaign brochure or commercial. The writer does everything but offer to have sexual relations with the Senator.

Yet, this is journalism these days. When did reporting become advocacy?
