Ah, the USSR, we miss you dearly

The old Soviet Union has come and gone, but the indoctrination example it set out is alive and well right here on college campuses in the United States. This is especially true, apparently, at the University of Delaware, where students are brainwashed (not an exaggeration) to be politically correct automatons: http://www.thefire.org/index.php/article/8555.html?PHPSESSID=bf336c17f0a9d7a871bfed4948f3ca9b.

And people wonder why I am so despondent about the state of higher education in this country..........

I lived in a dorm for the 3 1/2 years that I was an undergraduate. The main reasons were to use the cafeteria and the building I was in allowed me to have my own room.

I think during my first year of school, all dorm students were required to watch a movie about a gay teen who was killed in Wyoming. We also had to fill out a sheet about the movie. I found out later that the RA I had was gay. I am still bitter at the school (mainly housing) for requiring this. A few years later a scientist wrote a letter to the editor talking about how the art students from the East coast who made the movie were really biased.

I found an article talking about free speech at the school I went to. I don't remember the exact incident they are referring to, but I know the college Republicans held a bake sale. I even wrote a letter to the editor about it.
