Angry Left Congressman goes off the deep end

This one is kind of hard to believe. I can appreciate that Democrats and Republicans will always have issues on which they do not agree. That's fine, and it's why we have two parties. Sometimes, however, that disagreement can get taken to an absurd level, such as the incredible comment by California Congressman Pete Stark that the President is sending troops to their deaths in Iraq for his own amusement: http://www.mercurynews.com/lifeandstyleheadlines/ci_7222042.

The Congressman then compounded his vicious comment, after he was taken to task for it, by accusing his critics of being "chickenhawks". That is about as low and vile an accusation as a political figure can make. This man is an absolute disgrace..............

UPDATE (5:30 p.m.): The good Congressman is no friend of Israel, either. During last year's war between Israel and Iranian proxy Hezbollah, he was one of eight (count 'em, EIGHT) Congressmen to vote againast a non-binding Congressional resolution in favour of Israel: http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2006/roll391.xml. Another person who voted against this resolution? Presidential Candidate Ron Paul.

You know, I think that Bush is many things, and not all of them are good, but I don't think he's a cruel sadist who'd start a war just for kicks. And that's what Stark has said.

Stark sounds like a real ass.

I heard his comment on the news, but I forgot (or didn't hear) the part about amusement. This stuff is disgusting, but I've learned to basically ignore it because it is just a cheap shot to get support for whatever program they want to pass.

There is libertarianism taken to the extreme.
