Don't read books........burn them!

Apparently, there are some lines that even the U.N. still won't cross. An Egyptian government minister who was in line for top post with UNESCO has likely seen his candidacy go up in smoke (pardon the pun) after he called for the burning of books by Israeli authors: http://www.nysun.com/foreign/egyptians-bid-for-un-post-in-doubt-over-burn-quip/78844/. Let's not forget, Egyps is a country which has signd a peace treaty with Israel. If this is what the Israelis can expect from their "friends", what in the world can it expect from the rest of the Muslim world?

BRITISH ACADEMICS INCITE POGROM AGAINST JEWS - BBC SILENT

"Melanie Phillips is invariably erudite, incisive and right. Her exposition of the blatant anti-Semitism of the Universities and Colleges Union is precisely the sort of phobia which should have the BBC filling the airwaves and the newspapers filling column inches, and doubtless they would if it were a UCU agenda against Islam or Muslims. But when the body discusses whether universities should single out Israeli and Jewish scholars for discrimination, there is not a murmur."

They don't like the BNP either, according the UCU website:
During election periods we need to be able to lobby, to provide information to candidates, to inform members of candidates who support our campaigns or to argue against parties of the far right, such as the BNP.
