Bernie Mac, a genuinely funny man and an excellent actor, passed away today suddenly from complications due to pneumonia, at the young age of 50. I wasn't as big a student of his work as I was of Harvey Korman, but I appreciated his talent and as a fan of the Ocean's 11 franchise of movies, thought that he did a standout job in what was one of the best ensemble castes we will ever see in a movie series.
