What the Israeli left is thinking

As it turns out, it's the same type of self-hatred that the left here in the U.S. feels: http://www.peres-center.org/Media/from%20oslo%20to%20taba.pdf. Just as is the case here, the Israeli left blames Israel exclusively for the "cycle of violence" in the Middle East. In fact, if you read carefully enough, you will realize that in its view, there is NO "cycle of violence". Rather, there is merely a series of violent acts by militaristic Israelis against (mostly) defenseless Palestinians. Period. Look at where the analysis begins--in 1996, as the author completely ignores the waves of homicide bombers unleashed by Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat agains Israel following the signing of the 1993 "Peace" Accord between 1993 and 1996.

In a way, this article is reassuring, as it confirms that the Political Left is historically ignorant (or deliberately deceitful, depending on how much of the benefit of the doubt one wishes to give it) no matter where it is.
