From bad to worse in Venezuela

Venezuela is starting to act a lot like Cuba, down to the autocratic actions of its "Presidente", Hugo Chavez: http://caracaschronicles.blogspot.com/2007/06/chavez-vs-constitution.html. Except, the situation there is much, much more serious and significantly more dangerous for the U.S. Why? Well, Cuba is an autocracy which poses no danger to anyone or anything except its own people once its patron, the USSR, departed the international scene. Venezuela has the same malicious intent, but it has billions and billions of dollars in oil revenue to fund its goals. We ignore what it is doing at our own peril.
