The U.S. Dollar continue to sink against its Canadian counterpart, with a prediction by many economists that the two currencies will be even in terms of their value by the end of the year, for the first time since 1974. This is a function of many things; the staggering U.S. trade deficit, the budget deficit here, etc., etc.
It's got to the point where Canadian humour writers are taking notice of the situation: http://www.canada.com/montrealgazette/columnists/story.html?id=68526f4d-dd4c-45bd-a03a-fb0966ab88a5.
