Yet another reason why we can't take anything the U.N. does seriously

Apparently, having Libya and Sudan on the Human Rights Commission wasn't enough. Now, we have Syria as one of the heads of the IAEA: http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1189411432622&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull.

It would be funny if it weren't so sad. This is like asking the head of RJR/Nabisco to head an inquiry into tobacco use.

I wonder how those countries could possibly have enough influence to request to be put on the committees.
