Sympathy for the devil

I'm always bemused when people cry out for "humane" treatment of terrorists, such as Aafia Siddiqui, the neuroscientist who wanted to attack such targets as the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, etc.: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/03/nyregion/03indict.html?_r=1&oref=slogin. Siddiqui shot at Pakistani troops who were trying to arrest her, and she was shot as part of the arrest, leading to this gem from her attorney: “She needs further tests....She needs treatment. She needs care. She needs human rights. She needs to be treated in a humane fashion based on what everybody concedes happened to her. And they’re not doing it.”

She needs "human rights"? She needs to be "treated in a humane fashion"???? I'll bet that her intended victims weren't going to be treated in anything remotely resembling a "humane fashion". I have zero sympathy for her. None.
