Another great article from Townhall.com, this time pointing out the sheer insanity of the 9/11 "Truth Movement": http://www.townhall.com/columnists/JohnHawkins/2007/06/08/proving_the_911_conspiracists_wrong. Readers of this blog know well that the conspiracy nuts absolutely drive me to distraction. It is beyond offensive to me that these fruitcakes, led by head fruitcake Dylan Avery (who produced the Bible of the 9/11 conspiracy movement, Loose Change), think that the U.S. government was behind 9/11.
Worse yet, let's not forget that Dylan Avery and his merry band of Generation X slackers represent the mainstream of the conspiracy movement. There is a significant element which also believes that the Mossad was behind 9/11 and that no Jews died in the attacks on the World Trade Center (I guess that the one I personally knew was not really Jewish).
The bottom line is that the author of the article referenced above is right. These nitwits need to be confronted and their lies exposed to the light.

I've seen it. Dr. Griffin is among the most vocal and pseudo-scholarly 9/11 Truthers. That doesn't make him any more credible than the other whack jobs.

Hey could you tell us about the guy you know who died in the WTC. You said you knew someone personally. Its sad but in some ways I think its the best way to keep their memories alive. So who was he/she? Where did he/she work, etc?
Sure. His name was Peter Feidelberg and he worked for AON. He and I knew each other while growing up in Montreal. We hadn't seen each other in a while, but I was still obviously shocked and upset when I learned of his death.
