Stanley Cup Live-Blogging

It's early in the third period of Game Four of the Stanley Cup Finals, with Anaheim leading Ottawa two games to one, and this pivotal game tied at 2 (Disregard that, Anaheim just scored to go up 3-2). Both teams have taken turns controlling the play, but it seems to me that the Ducks are getting stronger as the game goes along. The second period ended on a strange and unpleasant note, with Senators' captain Daniel Alfredsson seemingly blasting a shot right at opposing captain Scott Niedermayer in the neutral zone as the period ended. I can't say for sure that this was what Alfredsson was trying to do, but if so, it was an absolutely bush league move, and one unbecoming a player much more known for his gentlemanly play.

If the Ducks win this game, the series is over in five. If the Senators win, it could go the distance. Ottawa has its work cut out for it against a team that is very, very good at protecting third period leads.
