Evidence is mounting that Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Michael Vick was involved in the dog fighting which was apparently going on on his property: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/nfl/05/31/vick.investigation.ap/index.html.
Can someone explain this to me? Why, in a supposedly civilized society, is such a thing viewed and apparently enjoyed by people? I'm a dog owner and lover, and I can't for one second fathom the mentality that would breed dogs to fight with and kill each other. It's sick, plain and simple.
