The complete triumph of the Baker "Realists"

No announcement has been made, nor will any formal declarations take place. However, it is obvious to all but the most naive or blind of political observers that so-called vision of the James "F--- the Jews" Baker Realists has swept over the administration like a policy tidal wave: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2007/06/james_bakers_disciples.html.

At best, we can say that Israel is now back to where it was when President Clinton was in the White House, but I don't even think that that's accurate. More realistically, we are back to the era of Bush 41. Israel is now an inconvenient burden to be patronized when necessary and bullied when possible by the Arabist State Department and those in charge of the Pentagon and White House.

I'd love to be wrong on this one, but every sign points to this pattern continuing. We can only hope that Israel does not get attacked again prior to the next President taking office (of course, if it's Hillary Clinton, what's going on now will seem like a picnic by comparison), because any support for Israel will be tepid at best.

We can only hope that Israel does not get attacked before a new PM in Israel takes office. Israel needs a leader who is proud of his Jewish identity and ready to lead Israel to her Jewish destiny.
