Iran and Holocaust Denial

Very interesting article in the Middle East Forum on Iran's outspoken Holocaust denial: http://www.meforum.org/article/1704. As the article establishes, it isn't just a cheap strategic ploy on the part of the Iranians. Rather, it is a fundamental part of their deeper, long-term goals in the Middle East. The fact that this strategic move has struck a receptive chord with many in the West is just a bonus to Iran................

There is a very good reason why the man who is aiming for the next Holocaust is denying the previous one; Israel claims its right to exist based on the Holocaust. Instead of declaring to the world the simple fact that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish People and is not up for sale, Israel claims that since the Jews had nowhere to go during the Holocaust, we must have a country. While the Holocaust is proof that we need a country, it is not our deed to the Land. Our deed is the Torah and only the Torah. Instead of taking foreign ambassadors to Yad VaShem, take them to the Kotel, to the Jewish sites of Israel. Not to demean the Holocaust, G-d forbid, but we must base ourselves on our divine right. Otherwise, Ahmadinejad is absolutely right when he says that if the Germans commited a crime, they should give up German land and not the "Palestinians".

Thanks for dropping by!

The two reasons are arguably each independently sufficient to entitle Israelis to their land. However, I have a problem with the divine right argument because theoretically, then, Jews would have a right to be in Israel and nowhere else.

If the Holocaust is our only right to Israel then why is Ahmadinejad wrong in suggesting that Germany give land to the Jews? Why should the Arabs suffer for the German's crimes?
You're right when you say that Jews have the right to be in Israel and nowhere else. Jews cannot have sovereignty in any other country in the world. Also, in the perfect Messianic world, all Jews will return to Israel. Unfortunately, all too many Jews decide to live in exile today.

P.S. I'm not really an extremist lunatic (well I guess you could kinda say that) but that is simply Judaism's view on the matter.

You know what's ironic about Iran's president denying the Holocaust is the fact that there is one living Iranian Jewish Holocaust survivor. Check out his amazing story on this blog:

Thanks for stopping by, Janice!

I guess that he MUST be a fraud and it's obvious that he made up the whole thing. Just ask David Duke if you don't believe me.
